Rain Volume 1 No 7 – Ray and Veda Campbell
Ray Campbell, Bedford – 1969 (24 Pages) Medium Size
Rain was a subscriber-only publication produced in very limited numbers by Ray and Veda Campbell of Bedford, England. While each issue includes readers’ letters and articles, its real appeal lies in the striking full-page black-and-white photography, showcasing models in mackintoshes and rubber or latex garments.
Elegantly photographed and exceptionally difficult to find today, the magazine remains a fascinating collectible for enthusiasts of vintage rainwear and specialist fashion publishing.
Good – An average copy, that may have a combination of minor defects which could include light creases, small nicks to the cover or inside, some buffing to the spine, and the staples could be showing signs of early deterioration. The book, though, will still feel tight with no loose pages. A nice collectable copy.
Note:This copy has a central crease that is evident throughout the magazine, but it is not overly distracting. The spine is also reasonably buffed.
