Gent

Gent began life in 1956 and was initially titled ‘The Gent’. Excellent Publications were the original publisher, but the magazine changed hands multiple times over the years. In keeping with other men’s magazines of the time, it followed the Playboy model to a degree, publishing fiction alongside a good handful of titillating pictures in both black and white and colour. A lot of quality fiction was published by established authors such as P.G. Wodehouse, William Faulkner, Evan S. Connell, Stephen King and more.
