Derrière
Derriere was a short‑run British spanking magazine issued in two brief series, first in 1979 and later revived in 1981. Each edition featured 64 pages, including a small colour section, and the title was closely linked to the better‑known Janus, sharing much of its editorial style and content.
The original 1979 series, published by Stop‑Press, ran for four issues and is identifiable by its italic masthead. The magazine returned in 1981 as The New Derriere—later shortened to New Derriere—with a revised Roman‑letter masthead and the strapline “Spanking in fact, fiction, fantasy and fun.” Despite the new branding, the publication remained virtually indistinguishable from Janus, offering the same mix of illustrations, short stories, articles and verse.
The revival was short‑lived, ending after six months, but both series remain of interest to collectors seeking companion titles to Janus.
