Wet and Messy (WAM)
Magazines built around Wet and Messy Fetishism (WAM) focus on models interacting with food and water, usually while fully clothed. The most influential title in this genre was Splosh! Magazine, published in the UK from 1989 to 2001, which became so iconic that it introduced the term “sploshing” itself.
These publications typically feature photo sets where models are covered in foods such as custard, whipped cream, pies, and chocolate sauce — the list is endless. Many also include pictures of fully clothed models getting wet or playing with water.
Original print issues of Splosh! and similar publications are now highly collectible. Although the wider WAM community has largely moved online, this category highlights the vintage print era that shaped this subculture.
