Stud – British gay magazine from Stud Bookshops, London, articles and pictures in both colour and black and white that seemed to feature younger-looking men. It was also known for its classified ads section, which occupied a couple of pages, which were essential adverts for connection before the age of the internet. All this during a time of significant homophobia and the aids crisis. Magazines like Stud provided rare space for gay men to find each other and share information.
