Divinity
Divinity was a distinctive independent magazine published by Divine Press of Stockport during the early 1990s. Edited by writer and cultural commentator David Flint, the publication gained a reputation for exploring the darker and more unconventional corners of underground culture.
The magazine combined articles, interviews, photography, commentary, and artwork focused on transgressive art, industrial and experimental music, counterculture, occult themes, fringe literature, and alternative lifestyles.
Today, Divinity is remembered as part of a thriving era of independent British publishing, when small-press magazines offered an alternative to mainstream media and documented subcultures that were often overlooked elsewhere. Surviving copies have become sought-after by collectors of underground press, industrial culture, and alternative publishing history.
